THE MERLIN FUND
Merlin loved people! He was a strong gentle giant. People would flock to him whenever we took him out in public, which was often. If I had $1.00 for every picture taken of Merlin, I would be a millionaire.
On 1/13/2010 we had to let out beautiful, beloved Merlin go. He was in pain and at 185 lbs we could not assist him enough to give him the dignaty he deserved.
Over his life many people were very generous with time and money when Merlin needed help, for one reason or another. This is the foundation of The Merlin Fund, to give to those currently in need. Sitting in the waiting room, when I was picking Merlin up, I sat next to a young man with 2 little girls and a 14 month old St. Bernard. She had a torn ACL. The man told me that he could not afford the surgery and the only other option was to put her down! He had been out of work for over 6 months and could barely take care of his children. These are the people we are trying to help.......But first we need to raise the funds. Won't you help us?
